Oma's Kloesse

Recipe for making potato dumplings after the style of my grandmother. They are awesome still have to try to make these myself though. Here is what you need:

  • 6 Potatoes (cooked and pressed into mash)
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • Dash nutmeg
  • 250g all purpose flower

Bring a pot of salt water to a boil while mixing the above. One-by-one knead the potato dough into dumplings and place them in the boiling water. Cook em till they float.

  1. What kind of potatoes. There is a big difference between 6 baking potatoes and 6 red potatoes. Perhaps you can an estimated potato mass to use.

  2. For that knowledge I need to guesstimate judging by the potatoes I saw in my grandma's kitchen. I'll give it a go (probably won't have time this week though) and give you an update :)
